To coincide with the new ‘Street Style’ television ad campaign, Vauxhall will give the keys of a new Corsa to the person who paints the best scene featuring a Corsa.
This will then be voted for by the public on Facebook before the top 20 are assessed by judges to find a winner. A new Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition will be given to the eventual winner.
Vauxhall has added a new front end, including revamped grille and headlamps, to the Corsa in order to aim the popular small car at younger, urban buyers.
This includes adding five new, vibrant exterior colours to the line-up including lime, orange, melon, ‘pepperdust’ and Guacamole.
Currently available with the new ’11’ registration plates, the Corsa is being advertised with a number of ‘Street Style’ adverts to celebrate its launch. These are in a similar style to the ‘Pop Art’ adverts used last year.
The winning painting from the facebook competition will see their art drawn on a billboard in their local area, while five runners up will receive a canvas print of their artwork.
Vauxhall UK’s Marketing Director Peter Hope, said: "New Corsa is the perfect car to use a social media activity like this with. Given the British public’s affection for Corsa, colours and art, it seemed logical for us to use Facebook as a platform to enhance our direct interaction with customers and Vauxhall fans."
The new Vauxhall Corsa, complete with new ‘smiling’ face, is available now from Vauxhall showrooms from £9,995 for three-door models.
The five-door Corsa starts from £11,790 and performance VXR models start from £18,625 on-the-road.
