New ’11’ registration plates prove to be a hit

The first week of the new ’11’ plates has been a success for Perrys dealerships across the country.

For example, Perrys Mazda in Blackburn received over 100 orders for new cars before the plates had even arrived, and it was a similar story in other dealerships such as Perrys Vauxhall in Bury.

Peter Ogden, Franchise Manager at Perrys said: "With the arrival of the new 11 plate this week we want to urge our customers to get down to the dealership and see the deals for themselves.

"We have some unbeatable offers – the best in the area – and we are looking forward to showing our customers what we can do for them."

The latest figures from the Society of Motoring Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show just three per cent of all cars sold throughout the year are registered in February because customers are waiting for the new registration plates in March.

So it is perhaps no surprise to see Perrys forecourts becoming busier in the past seven days. This has been helped by a number of offers – for example, Perrys Mazda in Blackburn is offering a 20 per cent discount on Mazda6 and Mazda MX-5 cars throughout March.

Meanwhile, in Perrys Vauxhall in Bury, a new facelift Vauxhall Corsa is available from £7995. The Corsa comes with a range of extras such as CD player, electric windows, electric heated mirrors, immobiliser and plenty of safety features.

Elsewhere, Perrys has a number of offers on ’11’ plate cars, from £2,300 off a new five-door Fiat Panda city car all the way up to £3,858 off a Ford Mondeo Titanium.
