The campaign, which will run on TV and online on the Peugeot Facebook page offers clues to solve a mystery.
People who guess the outcome correctly by solving the clues will be entered into a draw to win the special edition Peugeot 207 Envy model.
The Envy range, which was launched for the Peugeot 107, 207, 308, 3008 and 5008, adds alloy wheels, air conditioning and tinted windows to the cars.
There are also new colours to choose from and a range of engines depending on the model chosen.
The first adverts will run on 1 February during Coronation Street, Shameless and Law and Order UK and the Facebook page will be available from 21 February.
Peugeot says the adverts will show the owner of an Envy special edition attracting ‘the wrong sort of attention’ from jealous colleagues, friends, family and neighbours.
The advert shows the Peugeot 207 Envy special edition being dumped in a swimming pool, and viewers will be asked to solve the clues to find out who committed the act.
The Peugeot 207 Envy will be given away in the prize draw, and the French manufacturer says it will be available under the ‘Just Add Fuel’ scheme, which puts vehicle cost, insurance, warranty, servicing and roadside assistance into a single monthly payment.
As the name suggests, the only cost will be fuel, and Peugeot promises the monthly payment will remain the same for three years, regardless of inflation.
The Just Add Fuel offer is available on the majority of Peugeot’s range, from the 107 city car to the larger 3008 crossover and 5008 MPV.
Peugeot joins Alfa Romeo and Fiat in giving away a free car as manufacturers attempt to boost sales in 2011.
