New Renault service plan for 2011

The new Renault Service Plan will launch on 4 January 2011 and cover three years or 30,000 miles on all new Renault cars.

Starting from £159 for the small Twingo city car, Modus and Kangoo, the price increases to £199 for the Clio supermini and the Wind Roadster.

The Megane family, which features six different body styles, costs £219 to cover, while the Scenic MPV and Laguna saloon are covered for £249. Finally, the ultra-practical Renault Espace people carrier costs £349 to cover under the new plan.

The fixed price service plans cover all scheduled servicing needs by fully trained Renault Technicians and include genuine Renault parts.

Prices also cover a 25-point check, but any wear and tear issues will not be covered by the deal.

However, the service plan will be transferrable if the car is sold to another owner during the duration of the plan.

Mark Crockett, Director of Service and Quality, commented, "We recognise customers are always concerned about the cost of ownership. With our new fixed service price plan, we’re determined to offer peace of mind and a sanctuary from ever-increasing costs in these tough economic times."

Perrys Renault in Aylesbury will be offering the Renault Service Plan from 4 January 2011 on all new Renault cars.

The introduction of the Renault Service Plan could be seen as competition for the increasingly popular Peugeot scheme, Just Add Fuel.

The Peugeot Just Add Fuel programme puts maintenance, servicing, vehicle excise duty and insurance into a single monthly payment, allowing the customer to cover all driving costs with the exception of fuel.

The new 20 per cent rate of VAT means manufacturers are now offering customers more non-price incentives such as longer warranties and more equipment in the cars, as well as servicing and maintenance deals.
