Over 2,000 bingo balls have been used to decorate the Corsa supermini, which will take pride of place – and act as the main prize – in a special bingo event in Manchester next week.
On Wednesday 1 December, Vauxhall will hold the event at a Manchester church with the help of a ‘bingo sect’.
The car maker will offer 500 free tickets to the event, with the art commission Corsa worth over £10,000 being offered as the main prize.
The bingo night follows similar events across the country, including a Vauxhall Skate event, Vauxhall Ice Skate and Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club in 2010.
At all the events, a unique Vauxhall Corsa made an appearance. The Corsa supermini is the closest competitor to the Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall is updating the car for 2011.
The bingo Corsa will be centre stage at the event and will be positioned on the church altar. It will also carry the bingo cage on its roof during the night.
Galaxy FM DJ Rob Ellis will provide entertainment during the bingo night, while British fashion icon Henry Holland will also appear at the event.
Vauxhall said ahead of the night: "So, start practicing your bingo lingo, as we wait for no man when it comes to calling those balls. Be warned: This is not bingo as you know it."
