The Peugeot RCZ Asphalt continues the current industry trend for matte black paint and adds 19" alloy wheels and high performance Continental tyres.
Under the bonnet, 200hp is provided by a 1.6-litre THP petrol engine which propels it to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and adds an extra 15lb ft of torque to the existing model.
Inside, there are further additions to the RCZ, including a black leather interior and Asphalt badging throughout.
Prices have not been announced and it is not known if it will appear in the UK as of yet. However, the only other special edition RCZ was limited to just 200 models when it was released earlier this year.
The previous model, in pearlescent white paint, fetched a price of £31,585 and this is expected to be a good indicator for the Asphalt.
Peugeot’s RCZ was released at the start of 2010 and impressed with the uniquely designed ‘double bubble’ roof and responsive handling.
The RCZ represents a move away from the traditional Peugeot numbering system in place of names for its cars and features the New Lion badge at the front.
It signals a new direction for Peugeot into a more desirable, sporty and upmarket sector of the market, and has been touted as a contender for the Audi TT.
The standard edition Peugeot RCZ coupe is priced from £20,450 for the entry-level Sport model and from £22,750 for the second trim available, the GT.
