The Relay Plant & Go range has been created from the Citroen Relay 35 120hp and 160hp cab unit and features a flat deck instead of the traditional van rear and a low-loading wide track for easy loading of landscaping machinery.
Robert Handyside, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, said: "The new flat deck models will appeal to hire companies and other operators who have to carry all types of small wheeled or tracked plant, as well as other machinery and general items.
"The wide track model is ideal for ground maintenance applications with its ability to carry large, ride-on mowers and the beaver tail model suits those companies carrying wheeled and tracked plant."
All new Citroen Relay Plant & Go models will be showcased for the first time at the IOG Saltex Show at Windsor Racecourse between 7 and 9 September.
The Citroen Relay vans are capable of carrying 1,680kg – 80kg more than the previous range and feature a flat deck section as long at 4.6m on the largest version.
The Plant & Go vans have been added to Citroen’s Ready to Run programme, which offers vehicles for specialist use.
Drivers of the Citroen Relay Plant & Go vans do not need a special license, making it cheaper for businesses to own and run them. The vans are priced from £19,460 plus VAT.
