Vauxhall customer service wins award

The manufacturer has been praised by judges at the Supplier Awards of Mobility Operations for ‘tirelessly’ working to set exceptional levels of customer service. The company won three of the 13 award categories for its retailers.

According to the judges,”Vauxhall’s new and exciting models available to Motability customers at the same time as the broader car market and a dedicated Vauxhall Motability team are highlights of Vauxhall’s long-term commitment."

Vauxhall models such as the Corsa supermini, Astra small family car and all-new Meriva MPV complete with rear-opening doors for easier access are all available to Motability customers.

Over half a million disabled people in the UK use the Motability scheme, and customer satisfaction scores were have risen to the highest ever total in 2009.

The scheme enables the vehicles to be modified to suit the driver or passenger’s needs. For example, adaptations such as a steering wheel ball, left foot accelerators, swivel seats and wheelchair storage options are available on selected Vauxhall vehicles.

Steve Catlin, Vauxhall Fleet Marketing and Motability Manager, received the company’s award: “Vauxhall is a strong supporter of Motability. We offer a wide range of models to scheme customers and extensive support, including nominated Motability specialists at our retailers. I’m delighted that this long-standing commitment has been recognised at the 2010 Motability Operations Supplier Awards.”
