Renault has revealed the rally-inspired Clio Gordini 200 limited edition will be priced at £19,650 on-the-road.
The special edition is available to order now and deliveries will begin in July, but only 500 models will be heading the UK, ensuring some may miss out.
The Clio city car is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary so it is fitting it has been chosen as the second Renault model to be given a Gordini makeover after the Twingo earlier this year.
Gordini, the man behind 20 years of Renault Sport models, was behind the hugely successful Renault 8 Gordini, winner of the 1964 Tour of Corsica rally.
The famous blue paintwork and twin white stripes are present and correct on the Clio model, although Renault is offering two other colours as options; Pearl Black and Glacier White.
As expected from a sports edition, there are a number of racing-inspired features on the Clio Gordini 200, including an F1-style front bumper blade, 17" Gordini alloy wheels, Gordini badging and RenaultSport seats.
In terms of performance, the Clio Gordini boasts the high-performance 2.0-litre engine returning 200hp from the RenaultSport, and although a sports chassis is standard, a Cup chassis can be chosen complete with lower ride height, red Brembo brake callipers and a quicker steering rack.
Inside, the Clio Gordini 200 features grey leather upholstery with blue trim and Gordini badging. The gearknob, steering wheel and gearlever gaiter have all been updated with Gordini trim and the white rev counter contrasts with the black gloss central console.
Standard equipment includes climate control, cruise control, automatic headlight and wiper, speed limiter, ESC and a multimedia system with Bluetooth and USB connection.
Renault will offer extras such as satellite navigation, rear parking sensors and an electric panoramic glass sunroof at extra cost.
The Gordini name was revised with a high-performance version of the Twingo, and now the Clio becomes the second model in the range to be updated with a sports version.
