Based on Peugeot’s S trim level, the Millesim boasts exclusive Millesim 200 badging – the 200 representing the French manufacturer’s 200th anniversary this year.
The 308 has been given the same sports front grille, rear bumper and 16" alloy wheels as the 207 Millesim 200 model and comes with USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
For added exclusivity, Millesim 200 badging is included in the special edition and the Millesim versions add a fully body coloured exterior to the S specification.
Petrol options include the 1.4-litre VTi 98bhp model priced at £16,245 and the more powerful 1.6-litre VTi 120bhp. Both engines return 43.46mpg but the smaller engine offers 6g/km less in CO2 emissions at 149g/km.
The diesel engines are more efficient and cleaner still. Comprising a 1.6 HDi in 90 and 110bhp variants, both engines deliver 62.7mpg and 120g/km.
The 90 and 110bhp models are more expensive than the petrol alternatives and are priced at £17,495 and £18,245 respectively.
As with the Peugeot 308 S, Millesim models are fully specced out with a host of safety features. These include six airbags, ESP, ABS, a seatbelt warning system and emergency brake assist.
The special edition anniversary model is available to order now and Peugeot is giving away a free Nokia 5230 smartphone with every model ordered in June.
Despite the 200 name, there will be an unspecified amount of the Peugeot 308 Millesim range built, although it is only expected to be available until the end of the year.
