Renault has completed the Megane line-up with the introduction of the sporty Coupe-Cabriolet shortly after performance GT models were introduced earlier this year.
Arriving in the middle of summer, the drop-top boasts a panoramic folding electric roof that can be taken down at the press of a button in 20 seconds. For added comfort on the windy UK roads Renault has incorporated a glass wind deflector to reduce turbulence.
There will be two trim levels available with the Renault Coupe-Cabriolet; Dynamique and GT. The Dynamique trim is available with a choice of 1.4 TCe 130 or 2.0 CVT 140 petrol engines.
Diesel options include a 1.9dCi 160 and a 1.5 dCi 110 unit offering the lowest CO2 emissions out of any folding hard-top in its class at 130g/km.
The top-of-the-range GT models are offered exclusively with a 2.0 TCe 180 petrol engine or a 2.0 dCi 160 diesel unit.
The Dynamique trim includes 17" alloy wheels, cruise control, satellite navigation and air conditioning as standard.
However, the sporty GT model adds much more, including 18" alloy wheels, GT badging throughout the interior, aluminium pedals, rear parking sensors and unique dark chrome highlights.
The exterior has also been modified with sporting enhancements. These include a new sporting front bumper, revised central air intake, gloss black detailing and dark chrome window surrounds.
A host of optional extras such as heated front seats and leather upholstery costs between £150 and £920, and a GT Line pack can be added to Dynamique versions for £1,290.
An entry level Dynamique Megane Coupe-Cabriolet with the 1.4 petrol engine costs £21,595. The GT model with the 2.0 TCe is priced at £24,880 and with the 2.0 dCi the price rises to £25,830.
Renault will be taking orders for the Megane Coupe-Cabriolet from 4 July and the car will be launched at UK showrooms on 9 July.
