Fiat’s Scudo and Fiorino vans won Best Compact Van and Best Light Van respectively at the i-Van Awards 2010.
The awards, designed to award the best vans in each class, were presented at the Commercial Vehicle Operator Show in Birmingham.
Editor of i-Van magazine, John Fife, said the Fiorino was chosen because of its storage space and ‘driveability’. The Scudo, meanwhile, was chosen for its load capacity.
The French-built Fiat Scudo compact van and the Fiorino light van, both designed for busy city roads, were both stars in a recent TV sitcom advertising campaign.
Fiat vans at the show were dressed in the livery of Lightfoot Logistics, the fictional firm in the series of three minute adverts, and a number of the actors from the series joined Fiat workers.
Fiat Professional Director, Gerry Clarke, said: ""It’s always a pleasure to receive an award for one of our vans, so to be able to accept two was a great honour.
"It’s a tribute to Fiat Professional and its wonderful range of vehicles that we continue to be in the running for CV industry accolades and long may that continue. The vans certainly deserve their recognition."
The Fiorino starts at £9,085 and the Scudo starts at £14,965.
