The special Yves Saint Lauren-designed DS3 was used to transport ‘fashionistas’ to the YSL exhibition at the Petit Palais in Paris.
Organised by the Pierre Berge-YSL Foundation, the exhibition showcased 300 pieces from between 1958 and 2002, when the designer retired.
The Citroen DS3 marketing campaign has so far included an iPhone app, a photography competition, ‘anti-retro’ adverts featuring John Lennon, a Spotify campaign and a competition in Empire film magazine.
At the Geneva Motor Show in March, Citroen launched a 200bhp Racing version of the DS3, complete with special motor racing equipment and a more powerful engine.
The urban Citroen DS3 supermini is the first in the Citroen DS line, which will eventually consist of three models showcasing Citroen’s ‘Creative Technologie’.
The DS line is designed to be more luxurious and distinctively styled than other Citroen models and in keeping with the philosophy, offers three new trim levels; DSign, DStyle and DSport.
