Available for free from the Apple App Store, the DS3 application features a personalised questionnaire designed to find the best specification for each individual user.
Options include body colour, roof patterns, bodywork, wheels and mirrors, and interactive features on the application such as a DS3 Magazine offering news and features at the touch of a button.
A growing number of motoring iPhone applications are being made available by car manufacturers, including plans from Apple to develop technology which will act as an electronic key to open the car front doors.
The DS3 range will include a sporty hot-hatch racing version towards the end of 2010. The DS3 Racing, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, will have a limited production run of 1000 units when it joins the hatchback model in the Citroen DS3 range.
Citroen is expected to model future World Rally Championship cars on the upcoming DS3 Racing model.
