Introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, the Seat Ibiza ST will join the five-door hatchback and sports coupe body styles in the Ibiza range.
The new Ibiza ST is capable of carrying more than the other models due to its 430-litre boot capacity when the rear seats are up. This can be further extended with the rear seats folded.
Initially five engines will be available with the sport tourer model, including a choice if three petrol and two TDI diesel units with outputs ranging between 75 and 105PS.
Both five-speed manual and six-speed dual clutch DSG semi-automatic transmission options are available.
Seat has announced the Seat Ibiza ST will be offered with the same trim levels as the hatch and SC versions; Standard, A/C, SE and Sports specification.
Standard equipment on the ST reflects that of the other models in the Ibiza line-up. Electric front and rear windows, front fog lights, heated and folding door mirrors, hydraulic power steering and climate control are featured in the ST, depending on model.
Seat has not revealed if there will be an FR version of the Seat Ibiza ST when it goes on sale in summer 2010.
