The new Megane coupe-cabriolet features a large, folding glass roof and a choice of powertrains, including the new Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic dual clutch transmission.
Available with three petrol and two diesel engines, the Renault Megane coupe-cabriolet features the coupe configuration with the added bonus of an electric folding roof, which opens in 21 seconds at the push of a button.
The dashboard is identical to that of the new Megane hatchback, but the ‘butterfly wing’ door trim panel is unique to the coupe-cabriolet.
Sales will begin in spring 2010. However, the Renault Megane CC prices have not yet been announced.
Renault presented the Megane coupe-cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Show alongside two new Megane models.
The Megane line-up is completed with the introduction of the Megane GT and Megane GT Line sports models.
The models, available for the hatch, coupe, sport tourer and new coupe-cabriolet versions, were designed by the specialist Renault Sport Technologies team.
Both packages feature a redesigned sporty chassis, remodelled bumpers, 17" and 18" alloy wheels, Megane sports seats, aluminium pedal set and special badging.
The basic GT Line version offers similar equipment to the Dynamique equipment level while the more exclusive GT version is available only with TCE 180 petrol or dCi 160 diesel engines.
Like the Renault Megane CC, the GT and GT Line packages will be available to buy in spring 2010.
