The compact three-door hatchback was inspired by Alfa’s 8C Competizione supercar and after going on sale in the UK in late 2009, a new efficient engine range has been introduced by the Italian manufacturer.
The low emissions MiTo supermini boasts a fuel economy of 47.1mpg on a combined cycle and features one of the lowest CO2 levels in the MiTo range.
Engines available in the MultiAir range include a 1.4-litre turbo in 135 and 170bhp versions. The top of the range 1.4-litre 170bhp will carry the Alfa Cloverleaf badge and comes with Active Suspension.
The range-topping MiTo Cloverleaf model comes with 17" alloy wheels, manual air conditioning, anti-lock braking, LED rear lights, dynamic control switch and driver, passenger, front side, window and driver knee airbags.
The entry-level MultiAir MiTo in Lusso trim costs £15,165, with a £16,135 top specification model costing £16,135. The 170bhp Cloverleaf costs £17,895.
The Alfa Romeo MiTo has been available to order through UK dealers since January 2010, and is due to be delivered in spring 2010.
